Tired of "MechCapper Online" posts?

team deathmatch mode would help get rid of them.

Tired of 'then just defend your base' posts?

team deathmatch mode would help get rid of them.

Tired of players that ignore the 'base being captured' message?

team deathmatch mode would help get rid of them.

Tired of etc...

Anyone else seeing a pattern starting to emerge? So many complaints on the forums are caused by the lack of a deathmatch mode. Will it fix everything? No, but it will help alleviate some of the complaints.

Let players that just want to go out and pew pew, do just that with players who want the same.

Let players that want more complexity in their games, play with others who want the same.

TDM should have been the first game mode, and other modes should have built up on it.

So long as they solve the problem of one last Jenner hiding on the map and refusing to let the other team win until countdown is complete.

That is my only concern with "team deathmatch." Generally, "destroy all opposition" is the best way to win any conflict, so it's canon too

Hmmm, yeah, no idea on what can be done about (virtual) cowardice.

Of course, the coward's dead teammates could always tell the other team where he is.

I already see the forums... "I just had such a long match because the enemy hid and we were trying to find him for 15 minutes AND IT ENDED AS A DRAW!"

I hate to burst your ill conceived bubble, but TDM was the first game mode....and it sucked because of hiders and campers and lights you just couldnt ever catch.

No thanks...not unless theres some kind of alternate win condition to TDM..

I did not realize there was ever a TDM mode. I joined beta shortly before all the founders were invited. Since that time, assault (base cap) has been the only mode.

Also, what's up with the rudeness? Being an *** isn't an actual requirement of being on the internet.

I think eliminating seat belt laws, helmet laws, etc. would help stop the whining because it would cull the herd

Base is immune to cap if all enemy mechs are still alive.

So take the strategy out of the game and make into mindless pointless battle? Yeah... lots of fun

Maybe not for you, but it's exactly what (many) others want. Perhaps you should try thinking about what others would like, not just yourself?

Don't you think that letting those that want to play a 'mindless game' play one would improve yours by virtue of them not being in it? You will get players that want multiple OBJs and strategize/play that way in non DM modes.

Just make a king of the hill mode. Cap point in center of map, who ever caps it sucessfully wins.

Please do Team Deathmatch... just think of the whining when one team has killed the other in 4 minutes and I make them play out the other 11 minutes trying to find me.

I would love the addition of this game mode.

Funny I've been playing plenty of mindless battle royals for the last 3-4 months... Don't see why we needed to get rid of a strategic option cause people are just not smart enough to play a strategy combat game.

Did I say I wanted TDM anywhere in this thread? I want variety. I want players to be able to play a game mode that they like and want to play.

What the hell do you want? To be a d ouche? If so, you are doing a great job.

Yeah, it was called every other shooter before the Battlefield series got popular and every other MechWarrior game before now.

In addition to some of the other problems mentioned, in MW games "Deathmatch" throws play balance out the window and makes mechs with speed instead of firepower not viable in battles unless you want to grief by running out the clock... MWO is actually the first MW video game to give scout mechs an actual purpose. Myself, I love that they have fixed this long standing balance issue with scouts, now if they would just add in tonnage limits so people are forced to play mediums more instead of assaults, the game will be the closest it's ever been to resembling it's own original lore. (Heavies and Assaults are supposed to be rare in MW, only officers, royalty, and ace veterans are supposed to be flying the real heavy hitters)

Are you really so stupid that you can't see that this suggestion would help improve the games you like to play (non-dm)?

You would have less of the mindless idiots in your games.
